Memorial Services to Celebrate the Life of Wayne J. Putz Jr.

Family, friends and community members are gathering to celebrate the life of Wayne J. Putz Jr. (Aug. 25, 1925 to Sept. 23, 2012).

From Saturday to Monday, Aug. 23-25, in Glasgow, there are planned activities that reflect some of the things Wayne enjoyed doing with his family and friends in and around the area. Feel free to come and celebrate with those who knew Wayne and Shirley. Please bring your memories, stories or jokes to tell. Wayne was well known for his quick wit and jokes for every occasion.

Saturday, Aug. 23

6:30 p.m. - A no-host dinner at the Gateway with dancing to follow. Wayne was a bartender for many years at the Gateway. He and Shirley shared “many a dance” back in the day at this establishment.

Sunday – Aug. 24

9 a.m. - Mass at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. Wayne grew up in this Parish and was an alter boy. This will not be a funeral Mass but a celebration at the regular weekly Mass.

2-8 p.m. - Picnic at Westend Shelter Building in Fort Peck. Food will be furnished. If you wish, bring your favorite dish to share and definitely bring your own adult beverage.

7 p.m. - Fort Peck Theatre – Rodger and Hammerstein’s “A Grand Night for Singing” is playing for those wishing to attend.

Monday, Aug. 25

11 a.m. - Committal service at Highland Cemetery in Glasgow, officiated by the Rev. Shirley Putz.

12 noon – Lunch reception at St. Raphael’s Parish Hall.
