Timothy Richard Barnett

Timothy Richard Barnett, 61, died on Friday, April 4, 2014, at his home in Sidney, Mont.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Fulkerson Memorial Chapel in Sidney with Father Ned Shinnick officiating. Cremation has taken place.

He was born to Virgil and Dorothy Barnett on Oct. 18, 1952, in Glasgow, Mont. He attended school in Glasgow, then moved to Wolf Point in 1968. In 1970, he married Donna Ferguson and the two had a son, Troy.

He provided for his family by working as an auto mechanic at Hovey and Stone. He later relocated to Sidney in 1983 and started working at Gem City Motors. In 2000, he started his own business, Tim's Auto Repair.

He enjoyed hunting, motorcycle riding, ATV riding, and snowmobile riding with friends and family, and helping with projects. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, Ryan, Mieisha, and Marrissa Barnett.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Dorothy Barnett; two brothers, Ted and Gordon; and one sister, Nancy.

Survivors include one son, Troy Barnett and his wife, Eva; a step-son, Travis Conroy; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gary, Wayne and Randy; and two sisters, Candy and Alma.
