Roger E. Lohman

Roger E. Lohman, 79, died of natural causes Jan. 21, 2014, at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasogw.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Bell Chapel in Glasgow. Interment will be in the Miles City Veterans Cemetery in Miles City.

He was born on July 28, 1934, in Kenyon, Minn., the son of Oscar and Thea (Pederson) Lohman. He was raised in Minnesota and came to Glasgow in 1977 and has resided here since.

He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1957 to 1959. He worked for the State of Minnesota as a Counselor for the handicapped.

On Oct. 15, 1960, he married Mabel A. Lein in Kenyon, Minn. She passed away in 2004. They lived in Faribault, Minn., until coming to Glasgow in 1977. He managed the Group Home and managed the Chemical Dependency Center in Kalispell and St. Marie. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and traveling, drinking coffee with his friends, and was an active AA member for 38 years.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Lohman and his wife, Debra, of Miles City, Brian Lohman of Anchor Point, Alaska, and Blake Lohman of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Karen Popovich, of San Francisco, Calif.; and six grandchildren, Justin, Logan, Chance, Lindsay, Casey and Jett.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
