Bozeman U18 Sports Glasgow Flavor

Three players from the Glasgow Ice Dawgs high school team helped a Bozeman based U18 hockey team earn second place in a Missoula high school tournament. Glasgow High School players Harley Eliason, Ryan Padden, and Connor Simensen played key roles in a very long stretch of hockey over which the team played seven games in six days. The team went 6-1 over that stretch en route to their second place finish in the A Division of Bruin High School Holiday Classic in Missoula.

The victories came over Team Wyoming (7-0), Spokane (7-2), Jackson, WY (5-3), Idaho Falls (7-1), Helena (5-2) and Billings (4-1). The team fell to Spokane in the championship game 3-1 despite outshooting their opponent 51-23.

The help the Ice Dawg players provided to the Bozeman U18 team was quickly forgotten as Glasgow faced Bozeman this past weekend.

Bozeman took both games from the Ice Dawgs by the scores of 8-1 and 6-4.

Ice Dawgs goalie Harley Eliason withstood a barrage of shots in the two games stopping 112 of the 126 total shots put on goal by Bozeman.

Glasgow's lone goal in the first game came from Ryan Padden who was assisted by Ryan Grandchamp and Blake Mattfeldt.

The second game saw more production on the offensive side of the puck from the Ice Dawgs, but it still wasn't quite enough.

Glasgow accumulated all four of its goals from Ryan Padden. Padden was assisted on three of his four goals. Two assists came from Sam Schulz while Hunter Losleben contributed the other assist to Padden.
