    My spring’s work has been going in fits and starts. Every time I start, Mother Nature throws a fit! At least it’s mostly actual rain now and not snow piling up. The grass is greening up.     The Glasgow track teams hit two meets this past week: the 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 in Glasgow April 29 and the Gene Nelson Memorial Meet in Wolf Point May 3. The boys set six personal records at the Top 10 while the girls hit four personal bests and one season record.     The Scottie softball team went 1-1 last week to enter the final week of the regular season with a 6-10-1 record. Glasgow fell at home May 2 to Havre 10-1 in seven innings but earned a 13-3 road win over Glendive May 4. The Blue Ponies took a 1-0 lead after two innings and increased their lead to 8-0 after four.     The Scottie golf teams hit two meets last week in the final week of the regular season. Glasgow attended the Class B Team Challenge in Shelby April 29 and the Poplar Invite May 2 in Wolf Point.     The Glasgow School Board of Trustees continues to address the budget shortfall to the general fund, the main source of funding for the District. On April 23 the Board met in a work session and made the decision to move forward with the elimination of a principal position, after the Irle School Principal requested to be transferred to a teaching position.
